The boys like to pretend as children do. They agreed to help me start a project inspired by Oliver Twist. I covered them in cocoa powder to simulate dirt which they had no problem with. The interesting part for me is to see the range of emotions that these little guys can produce and how patient they are with me.
Cabin Fever was a project of projection. The daily routine of caring for multiple little children, as anyone who has been there can attest, can be isolating. The possibility of losing touch with one's identity is unbelievably simple. This idea swam around my head for nearly a year before I put the wheels in motion. It is an ongoing project.
Inordinate Life are the shots that I love, taken on the fly while preparing for other shoots or simply at random. These are the shots that may or may not fit in other categories but never the less feel like they belong here (mostly it's a home for iPhone pictures that I love.) It's a joyful distraction easily looked over by other priorities, so this project will take some time to build.
